101 in 1001!

I’ve seen quite a few of these lists in the blog world lately, and thought I’d give it a go – what do I have to lose right?!

Here’s the deal…

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple challenges such as New Year’s resolutions or a ‘Bucket List’. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

I seriously adore your list. If I decide to do another one, I may steal a few of yours! 🙂

I’m doing on of these too! Love your list 🙂

What a cool idea! I’d never heard of this one. It actually does sound much more achievable! and 2.75 years makes it…. erm… I have no idea how long from today but I may do some reverse mathematics and work it out from your dates lol!

I think I might try to do this too! GOOD LUCK with your list! I hope to see some more strikeouts on these next time I check back on it 😉

If you google something like ‘time calculator’ there are some websites that work the dates out for you!

I just noticed what you’d written fro #79: Update Itunes on Ipad.

    ROFL! Love it!

I think these are awesome goals. I have a bucket list on my blog (http://megancstroup.blogspot.ch/p/someday.html), but I really think I should re-evaluate my items and put a deadline on them, otherwise I don’t see how I will get it all done! Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

Wow, you’ve done well! I also love the idea of 101 in 1001 – it’s very realistic and a lot nicer sounding with a bucket list (which to me, always has an ominous tone to it – what happens if I actually complete my bucket list before I die??). This is something I could see myself doing!

What a great concept. Can’t believe I had not come across this idea. It’s usually only bucket lists I’ve come across. Will be coming up with my own realistic list. And good luck on the rest of your list too!
